Four Agreements: A book review of

Often, self-help authors would complicate things as they are. Don Miguel Ruiz, author of four agreements: A practical guide to personal freedom, is not one of them. Instead, he summarizes the essence of self-control to four simple rules. These are: be impeccable with your word, do not take anything personally, do not make assumptions and always do your best.

Some reviewers of this book have accused Ruiz of oversimplifying things, while othersto say that he has four rules apply, and then discussed to fill a book. I disagree. He seems to have taken exactly the right balance between speaking a point to death on one side and omitting relevant explanatory information on the others.

Ruiz four agreements are a distillation of ancient Toltec wisdom. Scientists probably this debate. What is true is that many are in slightly different form, are the backboneteachings of the world, the wisdom and spiritual traditions.

The deal, personally I think the warning: "Do things in person," the most valuable and perhaps more difficult. I always remind me once again that if people treat me badly or toxic target words for me, their approach is really about them, not me.

In reality it is something more than just a book of Ruiz, his explanation of the four agreements. A chapter entitled "The Path to ToltecFreedom "interweaves the agreement to form a coherent whole and provides a way to serve his life by breaking old agreements that impose only to renew it. This is another way of saying that your life will change, you need to defeat the beliefs change that has brought about with you - faith in you by your parents, your colleagues, school or just teach only the general culture.

Ruiz concludes with some techniques and ideas for awakening from the intellectual andemotional hell, which many people find themselves. "Happiness is a choice," he says, "and so is suffering. ... To live in hell, or who live in heaven. My choice is to live in heaven. What's that?
